Basingstoke, Hampshire, UK — Select Technology Ltd (selectec), a leading distributor of software including the market leading PaperCut and its own scanning solution selectSCAN, has announced the hiring of Senior Developer Mark McCarron to work within our talented software development team.

Possessing the uncanny ability to string together technical terms into coherent sentences, Mark joins selectec to focus on delivering scalable solutions to our customers.

Mark has been developing and consulting on large scale software projects throughout the last decade, helping both the private sector and governments to transition systems and development practices to meet the needs of an ever increasing consumer demand.

Mark McCarron is coming on board initially to take lead development of selectSCAN on the Ricoh platform(s). His other duties will include evolving our back-end infrastructure/architecture for the future to make sure our systems remain scalable, secure and available. Mark joins us from building grown-up cloud architecture for a number of fairly significant organisations around the world. With a background in distributed computing, machine learning, big data and artificial intelligence, Mark assists companies in developing highly available, scalable mission critical systems that were, until a few years ago, only within the capabilities of Fortune 500 companies to develop and deploy.
